We love weddings, we love working with the incredible team at Union Weddings and we love Trinity Buoy Wharf – in fact it was the setting for our very own Director Dan’s wedding in 2015!
For Helen and Mikey, they wanted a menu that was fun, sociable, that screamed London and was of course utterly delicious!
The day started with the ceremony at Trinity Buoy Wharf before guests boarded a Thames River Boat for a lovely 90 minute cruise. Whilst our venue team completely transformed TBW ready for dinner, our river boat team joined the guests to Westminster serving the day’s first course – a London themed food station with wild boar scotch eggs, H Foreman salmon carving, free-range chicken and sausage pies with homemade chutneys -all served alongside a selection of our award-winning canapés.
When guests returned it was time for the main event – a sharing menu to get everybody chatting – whole roast sirloin of beef with sweet onion and garlic puree, Stilton and butternut squash pies and loin of Welsh spring lamb all served with garlic and rosemary potatoes and root vegetables. Dessert consisted of some our favourite minis – poached pear tarte tatins, chocolate delice with Irish cream mousse and a Great British cheeseboard – perfect.
Drinks for the day included kegs of local Crate Brewery Ale, wines perfectly matched to the menu and all night table service of the couples favourite cocktails – a rosemary gin fizz and a sour cherry old fashioned.
