Of all the creative events we have catered, this one is right up there with the best. In aid of ILEA UK’s annual Halloween party and in partnership with Cirque Le Soir, one of London’s most creative entertainment locations, Boulevard were asked to help produce an “immersive experience.” The venue was brimming with production which really set the scene for our ‘shipwrecked on a cannibal island’ theme, as if it wasn’t scary enough there was also a cast of live actors roaming the venue in character, playing the role of flesh eating cannibals.

The menu, somehow, needed to enhance the theme and amplify the experience of the guests. So we put our thinking caps on and decided to create an edible dessert shipwreck, complete with a sea of blood (raspberry coulis), edible beach (inverted caramel cheese cake), chocolate treasure chests of gold (honeycomb), as well as a sugar rush of other delectables. We also custom built a ship, broke it in half and set it on fire! In addition to this centre piece, we circulated a selection of different meats on the bone, giving guests the chance to get their hands deliciously dirty.

Words from the client

“I just wanted to drop you a quick line in regards to your service at our recent Halloween event.

You really did out do yourselves in both meeting the ‘Ship Wrecked on Cannibal Island’ theme and the quality you delivered. Your dessert station was immense, eye-catching, and the desserts were delicious!

I have no second thoughts about working with you again or recommending you for these reasons:

  • You are easy to work with
  • Passionate about what you do
  • You listen for the details
  • You have a desire to challenge yourselves and the brief
  • You have an unrivalled committed to quality.

All I can say is that I look forward to working with you again soon (and eating your food!).

Thank you for really adding something special to this event.”
