Our Covid-19 procedures

Covid-19 Boulevard events policy and procedures for Coronavirus week commencing 16/03/2020

In response to the growing health concerns surrounding Covid-19, we want to reassure our customers that we are doing everything in our power to protect their safety and that of our staff and suppliers.

Boulevard Events will be open for business until we are advised otherwise by the government and public health bodies. However, during this worrying time we want to communicate some of the steps we are taking to ensure the daily operations of Boulevard Events are not contributing to the further spread of the Coronavirus.

This is an ongoing situation that changes by the hour, so we are constantly monitoring advice from the correct authorities; Public Health England, The World Health Organisation, The NHS and all official announcements made by parliament.

Whilst we continue to learn more each day, it is unclear exactly how the UK and the global community will be affected by this pandemic, from a health perspective and an economic one. However, within our four walls, we are focussing on controlling the controllable.

We already have a 5-star food safety rating, meaning that hygiene within our premises and anywhere that we operate is of the highest standard in the industry. Preventing the spread of germs, bacteria and viruses is built into our daily operations as a company. However, we have taken the following additional steps to ensure these practices extend to other areas of the building, and not just our food handlers.

  • We have introduced daily sanitisation through-out our office space including; work desks, chairs, telephones, door handles, windows and all other contact points through-out the building.
  • All staff have been placed on separate rotas to reduce the risk of spread throughout the entire staff force. If one staff member becomes ill, we can more easily prevent them passing to at least 50% of the workforce, ensuring events are not affected.
  • In line with the health guidelines, anyone showing signs of feeling unwell will be asked to leave work immediately and self-isolate.

Hand washing and personal hygiene is always extremely robust within a catering company like Boulevard Events and we have a stringent hygiene policy which all our staff adhere to. In this instance we are already well ahead of the curve and have always understood the importance of handwashing. Staff are issued with hand sanitisers and have been encouraged to wash their hands when entering the building, after eating and toilet breaks. This is now extended to greeting people and accepting deliveries.

If you would like to have copies of our policies then please do contact adam.neale@boulevardevents.co.uk for more information

Finally, for any clients who have bookings with us during this uncertain period, please rest assured we will do everything we can to protect your deposits against postponements. We will be carrying over any payments made, providing we are given enough notice and are able to recover our own costs. If you think your event may be affected, please get in touch as soon as possible, our offices are open 09:30-17:30 Monday to Friday.

I spent most of my youth hanging around the kitchen in our family restaurant ‘Boulevard.’ I was always intrigued by food and how it’s prepared to enhance different flavours and then presented immaculately. I feel privileged to be in the position to be able to work with my family everyday, planning, organising and delivering exceptional events with outstanding food.
