WOW what can we say!

England Ladies Hockey Team – Champions of Europe. It makes us immensely proud to say that we catered, not only for all of the VIPs, media, officials, broadcasters and volunteers, but also for the athletes of such an epic event. The European Hockey Championships, held at one of our favourite venues The Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre and a stone’s throw away from our premises in Hackney Wick, took place last week and wasn’t it just awesome!

The ladies team brought home the proverbial bacon, beating the champions of the past nine years, The Netherlands in the final and, in doing so, became one of very few examples of success in English team sport, of recent years. We are so proud to say that we were able to feed these legends all week, as well as all of the other athletes who competed. Each day, in addition to the post-match team meals, Boulevard also catered for four tiers of hospitality, all of the media/broadcasting contingent and referees as well as lunch and dinner for the 300 or so amazing volunteers, who gave up their time to contribute to the success of the event.

It was a huge overall success and England Hockey will now be looking forward to the World Championships and World League events over the coming years. Once again an amazing spread of hospitality will be available, offering several options at varying price-points. From smaller, intimate and super VIP lounges, serving four course meals including the likes of fillet steak and thrice cooked chips, to bigger spaces for sports clubs or large work outings serving up award winning bowl food or carveries and homemade pies.

The combination of a Championship winning England team and award winning food really isn’t one to be missed, so keep your eyes peeled for the various hospitality packages when they go on sale in the new year.
