In our 30 years as a caterer, we have catered for 100s of weddings and one question that comes up more than any other is, have you worked at a blank canvas venue before? It’s a huge concern for people, because until you’ve seen it happen, it really is difficult to picture the transformation of an empty space into a fully functioning wedding venue.
As the caterer we are responsible for a fair chunk of that transformation, from furniture to drinks deliveries, bar set-up and of course everything involved in serving the food, which includes bringing in a fully operational kitchen. In short, the answer is “yes, of course we have worked at a blank canvas venue before” but explaining how we do it is more difficult than showing you.
So we asked our friends over at Absorb Films to come and film one of our weddings for us at one of London’s most incredible blank canvas venues Trinity Buoy Wharf. Of course we can’t take all the credit, our partners on the day Urban Space Events coordinated everything from a wedding planning perspective, making sure every element was in the right place at the right time. They also arranged some incredible suppliers, including the beautiful floristry and stunning entertainment.
I spent most of my youth hanging around the kitchen in our family restaurant ‘Boulevard.’ I was always intrigued by food and how it’s prepared to enhance different flavours and then presented immaculately. I feel privileged to be in the position to be able to work with my family everyday, planning, organising and delivering exceptional events with outstanding food.
